AppCompTech International Patent Process Takes a Major Step Forward

Windber, PA , May 16, 2007– Today the International Searching Authority released a copy of their PCT International Search Report and Written Opinion on International Patent Application No. PCT/US2005/005853. They determined that all claims (1-65) filed on the original patent application (U.S. Patent #7197404 and its U.S. divisional patent applications) meet the criteria for novelty, inventive step, and industrial applicability. According to AppCompTech’s legal counsel McQuaide Blasko of State College, PA “Although this written opinion is not binding on the national patent offices, the opinion is likely to have a favorable effect on patent prosecution before such offices.”
