– Twenty-two companies have been picked to participate in the Pittsburgh Angel
Venture Fair that kicks off after lunch on March 14 at Downtown's Renaissance
Hotel and concludes that evening with a cocktail reception.
Eight startups from Western Pennsylvania and Ohio will pitch private investors --
known as "angels" -- on why their firms are investment-worthy. The ambitious
eight, most of which already have reeled in customers willing to buy or try their
products, are AnalizaDx, Applied Computational Technologies, Concurrent EDA,
FastCat, NanoLambda, RemComm, Sure Logic and Unicentric.
Fourteen more firms have been invited not to pitch investors, but to try to catch
their eye and interest at an exclusive display of up-and-coming firms. They are
Arthritis Imaging, Day Zero Systems, Dominion Assets, Embrace Pet Insurance,
Glucose Sensing Tech, Integ, Kiddix, Lightfoot, Metronome Labs, Mobile Fusion,
MotilEdge, Proteopure, Seasonal Experiences and Stanton Advanced Ceramics.
